Alexander MacDonald (or MacDonell)

. (Highland District) Born in Clianaig, Glen Spean, in December 1753, the son of Archibald MacDonald, Cadet of Keppoch; arrived in Valladolid from Scots College, Paris; ordained priest in Valladolid and returned to Scotland, 1777, being for some years in Braelochaber; went to Nova Scotia, 1802, and worked in Arisaig, N.S., 1802-16; died suddenly in Halifax, N.S., 15th April 1816.
